Scholarship Overview

SnapIT Solutions is awarding a youth scholarship for free enrollment into one of SnapIT’s self-paced trainings in Project Management, IT Support Specialist, Agile Certified Practitioner, Foundations of C#, or Intro to Web Development. During the self-paced training, students will have the opportunity to schedule weekly office hours with the instructor to review any questions the student may have. A laptop and books will also be included.

Course Descriptions

Foundations of C#
This course will go over the basic fundamentals of the C# language while utilizing Object Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts. This course will also teach students three pillars of OOP and utilize them in design patterns.

Agile Certified Practitioner
This area of instruction provides content for knowledge and skills required in the Disciplined Agile Scrum Master (DASM) and Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) workplace. The demand will continue to expand for students prepared with knowledge of skills in fundamentals, agile product life cycle management and preparation for the DASM. This course prepares the student to take the DASM and ACP exams from the Project Management Institute (PMI).

Project Management
Provided with the PMBOK guide, the student is on the path to a career in project management. The student will go through the fundamentals of what it takes to be a Project Manager. This course also includes Ethics and Strategies to manage and develop a team through standards recognized by the Project Management Institute. This course prepares students from the Project Management Profession and Certified Associate in Project Management certifications.

IT Support Specialist
Businesses use computers to grow in all aspects. These computers need service like any other machine. This course provides the student with the skills needed to service computers, troubleshoot software and help the company excel. This course prepares for the CompTIA A+ certification.

Applicant Requirements

  • Interest in software development, IT Support, project management computer science, technology, or engineering
  • Must be authorized to work in the US. Example: Employment Authorization Document holder, Permanent Resident, or US Citizen
  • Minimum cumulative high school GPA of 2.7
  • Ages 16-24
