Have you ever shown up to the DMV to get your new license and you were missing a single piece of paper that they needed, and so they sent you home and it ruined your day? This is the kind of thing we’re trying to prevent. The pre-screening zoom calls are mandatory, and they’re meant to ensure you’ve got the 2-to-3 documents required to qualify for this free program.

If you do, you’ll be green-lit and essentially just told to show up on laptop day with your already organized documents to pick up your free hardware. If not, then we’ll coach you on how to get the correct documentation so you can still join. This is our way of ensuring laptop day goes smoothly, and none of your time is wasted.

No, they’re identical. We provide two to give more options to our students.

We need to be able to prove the following three things.
1. Documentation of Employment Being Negatively Affected by Covid-19
2. Authorization to work in the U.S.
3. Johnson County Kansas Residency
4. Over 18 years of age

There a handful of ways to prove each of the above things. Please study the image below to find your correct documentation. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask us. We will also be hosting a series of Zoom sessions to answer any questions you may have about documentation. The idea is you need one document, to prove each of the three things. So, for example, you could use a driver’s license to prove your residency, documentation proving your hours have been reduced to prove you’ve been negatively affected by COVID, and a passport to prove your eligibility to work in the United States. So find the three that are easiest for you to find, from each of the categories below.

Nope, that just helped us get you to the correct page, which is this one. Please fill out the form on this page to enroll.

This mostly involves what your interests and goals are. To learn more about the different fields and average salaries, we suggest Googling them to get a third party review of each of the three different courses we provide. Also, we think you should consider how tech savvy you already are. Here is the order of technological difficulty, in order from easiest to hardest: Project Management, IT Support Specialist, Java. We also have an assessment you can take to guide you in the correct course. Please email [email protected] to gain access.

Businesses use computers to grow in all aspects. These computers need service like any other machine. This course provides the student with the skills needed to service computers, troubleshoot software and help the company excel.

Provided with the PMBOK guide, the student is on the path to a career in project management. The student will go through the fundamentals of what it takes to be a Project Manager. This course also includes Ethics and Strategies to manage and develop a team through standards recognized by the Project Management Institute.

Java is ranked as the 3rd most popular programming language of 2020. Starting with the basics, this course prepares you for an Entry Level Position as a Junior Developer in mobile, web and server-side development.

It’s completely first come, first serve.

Yes. Of course. At the very least it’s something else to put on your resume and LinkedIn. But these courses are designed to help you pass industry standard certifications that are required by employers across the country. Also, we will provide you with job placement assistance when this process is over. SnapIT is collaborating with regional workforce agencies, and we have unfair access to the companies across Kansas, Missouri and the Midwest that need employees with these skill-sets the most.

Send back your laptop. No penalty. No cost. However please know, if you quit prior to graduation, this may prevent you from accessing workforce agency grant funds in the future.

What are you waiting for?
